The Saj journey began as a family endeavour in February 2011, nestled on College Street, quickly becoming a go-to lunch destination for UofT students and faculty. In March 2020, we embarked on a new chapter, opening our doors at our current address: 975 Bloor Street West.

 

Ziad and family made the journey from Amman, Jordan to Toronto, Canada in 2007, bringing with them a unique culinary background rooted in Circassian heritage and a passion for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. Hailing from a unique blend of Levantine and Mediterranean influences, they sought to share their distinctive flavours with the Toronto community.

 

By fusing traditional and contemporary bread-making techniques, and through a process of relentless experimentation, we've crafted a one-of-a-kind culinary experience for our guests. We invite you to savour the delicious flavours that have been inspired by our love for great food.
